Early Church Ministries, Harrisonburg, Va. Pastoral leader will be Ron Copeland. Continuing to develop relationships with persons in northern Harrisonburg, and hopes to begin with public worship sometime in 2007.

Harrisonburg, Va. Congregational leadership includes Gerald and Sara Wenger
Shenk, and Jim and Angie Clemens. They are just getting started as a core
group and will be meeting at the Discipleship Center of Eastern Mennonite
University.

Roads area (SE Virginia) – Exact location,
pastoral leadership, and core group to be determined. This is being sponsored
collectively by Mennonite churches in Eastern and Calvary Districts.
Church especially focusing on Hispanic population in Wallace, NC (near Wilmington, NC). A nearby Latin pastor is interested in developing a Mennonite church there, and has been working with Mauricio Chenlo, our Urban Ministry Director.
Charlotte, NC. This has been envisioned for a few years, and there is still much interest to move ahead with this church planting.
District leaders in Southern District and Central District would like to proceed in checking out locations in their respective geographical area in urban areas as to where Mennonite churches could be planted.

Bontrager, Director
Ed Bontrager has been Director of USA Ministries since August 2005.
Ed and his wife Edie also lead tour groups overseas, often to locations where VMM has mission workers or working relationships.
